Shunsuke Nakamura is coming home
After confirming with two reputable inside sources, the deal to bring Blue Samurai Shunsuke Nakamura home to play for Yokohama F. Marinos of the J-League is said to be “done.” This return home would be a perfect closing note to his career and as well as satisfying his wishes to raise his family in Japan. Naturally for the national team this can only be a positive sign as it will greatly reduce the travel burden from his present club Celtic. The terms of the deal are said to involve a transfer in the range of €6.5 of which the Nissan-owned Yokohama is said to be willing to pay. Shunsuke started his professional career with the Yokohama Marinos in 1997 (upon the 1999 merger with Yokohama Flügels added the “F” prefix to their name) before moving to Reggina in Serie A and eventually to Celtic in the summer of 2005.
