Shinji Ono the Japanese midfielder got the 100th goal of coach Zico’s reign against India in the Asian Cup qualifier last Wednesday.
There had been a lot of debate amongst the Japanese players preceding the game as to who will get that special goal.
Shinji Ono said of his goal, “I’m glad the goal came at the right time of the game. We were not playing too bad in the first half so that I was thinking if we passed the ball around well, we would have a chance for a goal.”
