Japan to face Malta in final warm up match before World Cup

Japan will play Malta in their final warm up match before this summer’s World Cup finals.

The match against 119th-ranked Malta will be in Dusseldorf on the June 4, eight days before the meet Australia in their opening Group F clash in Kaiserslautern.

Japan, who will be making their third straight appearance at the finals, will also play Ecuador on March 30 in Oita and
World Cup hosts Germany in a friendly in Leverkusen on May 30.
