Japan Faces Coaching Choice too this Summer
Interesting article today about Japan’s coaching situation. With Brazilian Zico stepping down following the World Cup this summer, Japan finds itself with a similar lame duck coaching situation as England.
Of course the pressure and scrutiny of coaching Japan is not the same as coaching England, but as an up and coming football nation making the right selection is important to the sport’s future in the country.
My guess is that Japan will pick another Brazilian – possibly Carlos Alberto Parreira or Luiz Felipe Scolari. Both men will likely be available after this summer, Japan has the money to sign either and they would be good picks to build upon the foundation that Zico has helped to create in Japan.
