Former Brazilian defender Junior links up with Japanese head coach Zico
Former Brazil defender is linking up with former team-mate and now Japan head coach Zico to spearhead
Japan’s adventure at the World Cup in Germany, Brazilian media reported.
Both Junior and Zico played in the Brazil team at the 1982 World Cup in Spain and they were also club team mates and helped Flamengo win the South America Libertadores Cup as well as the World Club Cup in 1981.
Will you bet on this classic duo’s Japan gunning down defending champions Brazil when they meet in a group match in Dortmund on June 22?

Junior was really a great player. He and Zico were the elite of Brazilian football at the 80’s.
I hope he does a good job as Zico is doing for Japan!
