Fit Again Ono joins up with Japanese Squad
Shinji Ono has made a return to the Japan national team after a four-month absence. Fit again Ono who recently joined J.League club Urawa Reds from Dutch side Feyenoord, has joined up with the team who are currently based in Miyazaki Japan.
He is looking forward to working his way back into the team and gaining the trust of both his coach and team-mates.
Ono who has been plagued with injuries throughout his career, would like to be back in the team when Japan play United States in San Francisco on Feb 10.
He feels his recent transfer to a team back home will benefit him, as he will get more chances to be involved with the national team.
But for now, his immediate goal to get back to fitness so that he would have a chance in the team when the World Cup comes around.
