East Asian Championships Update – Korea win

After Japan’s drab 0-0 draw with China on Saturday, it was the turn of South Korea and Hong Kong today. It’s hardly a shock to report that the Koreans ran out comfortable 5-0 winners.

They were 4-0 up well before half-time and presumably eased off after that. This of course leaves Korea top of the group 2 points clear of Japan.

=2. China 1 1
=2. Japan 1 1
4. Hong Kong 1 0

Next up is South Korea v. China on Wednesday, followed by Japan v. Hong Kong on Thursday.
