Alessandro dos Santos – A Brazilian in the Japan squad
June 1st, 2006 | By: ShiLou | No Comments »

We all know about Japan coach Zico the legendary Brazilian player.
But there is another Brazilian in the Japan squad who actually plays for the team. His name is Alessandro dos Santos. He also plays for J-League Urawa Reds as a midfielder.
Alessandro Santos went to Japan when still a high school student, both to learn about Japan and to pursue an opportunity to play football. He played at Shizuoka’s Meitoku Gijuku High School.
After living in Japan for eight years, and becoming quite fluent in Japanese and thoroughly settled in the country, Alex obtained Japanese citizenship in late 2001.
